Some impressive things here, listing highlights below.
1. XP in Battlegrounds
You can now level in PvP, you can turn this function off, but completing objectives and capturing flags etc gives xp. Twinks who turn this off so as not to level will only fight other twinks.
2. Mounts - previoulsy posted, normal mount now at lvl 20, epic at 40 and flyer at 60 (basic flyer is 3 x faster now too). All mount costs are pittance now.
3. You can get Ulduar level helm and chest for heroic tokens now. Only new 3.2 instance will require you to run to get gear. This is quite imba tbh - but will allow everyone to just gear up to max level in at least 4 slots.
4. Resillience effects everything. This is the change that brings me back to pvp. 1000 resillience means you will survive stun locks and that is good enough for me. Am going to get Crematoria into 5v5 as an afflic lock, will get falgorn into 2v2 and 3v3 as a healer / prot and Titus will prob be 3s and 5s and BGs as he is the best ranged dps / healing option I have.
5. Death Knights been changed a lot, most of it nerfs.
6. New 5 man, 10man and 25 man instances, and new 40 man BG.
7. Big changes to tanking and healing. More reaction based using cooldowns smarter and less spamming the same ability. Mana regen nerfed, but multi healing improved for shamans and paladins.
Overall - I think there is a huge amount of balancing in this patch and it all looks really attractive to me. There is a damage nerf to my current warlock raid spec which I dont like, but paladins have been heavily nerfed as well and will have way way less burst, without really losing any *dps*.
Rogues seem to have gotten away scot free which is nonsense, but resillience change should actually hit them relativly hard, and with extra survivability they will get less from their cooldowns.
So gz overall Blizzard, there is now a lot I want to do in the game that I didn't before and I really feel that the pace, scope and volume of patches is - for the first time - justification for the monthly subscription.

So I re-specced Crematoria last night. She now has 1 pve tree (destruction) and a pvp tree (affliction). My PvE spec is imba - nice consistant damage, loads of burst and no down time. Walk into pvp with this spec however, is an instant death sentence. I mean - 2 shot instant death. So.. I've been duel spec with 2 raid specs (afflic / destro and destro / demo) The afflic / destro was getting no play time as I'm only really raiding now and it's just not competitive. So - Given the changes to resillience coming in the next patch, the nerfing that paladins and DK's are about to get and the extra battle ground rewards I decided it was time to get back onto that wagon with the class I most enjoy and the spec I prefer - tweaked for PvP. www.wowhead.com/?talent#Idx0rurhkVAMckt0GbhobZVM:jwaI have instant aoe fear, soul link for sharing 30% damage with my voidy, voidy shield not requiring a sacrafice anymore gives me 9k more health, I have a lot of damage reduction and 3k extra armor from demon armor along with loads of self healing and shorter cast fear from gear. I was gonig toe to toe with rogues, warriors and feral druids, and whilst I didn't win every fight - they were coming away with a fraction of life left, whereas before I never lasted long enough to to do anyhitng to them. I still have 2k spellpower in my current gear so my dots will easily kill someone in 1 application of not healed or mitigated. The best part - I've only got 75 resillience! I'm wearing feck all res gear so far, am hoping to have around 400 or so by the time the next patch comes around and if I can manage that I should be almost able to train tank melee and at the very least - give anyone a tough fight 1 v 1. Oh the joy!

I'm currently trying a 70 lock to see if it's been fixed a bit after the shocking post wrath launch nerf (compared to my god like pwnage in arenas at 70). Seems so far like affliction may once again be viable in pvp...

Such a content rich patch, and released so soon after Ulduar -
The pvp change here is going to (imo) end Warhammer Online. It's already in trouble - this will just finish it off.
Blizzard have made wow very fresh and new. The focus is more on keeping new content flowing, than have you run the same stuff over and over.
It's so easy to do alts now, and with duel specs - you get so much more from the game. I read that Blizzards main MMO development team are focusing on the new mmo, and the content at the moment is being worked on by a 'b-team'.
Would suggest they keep the B-team tbh as it rocks.

Really off topic. Your sig. Chekov really doesn't do that move justice at all, (not saying i can either) but his hands get nowhere near his feet, which is what you are meant to be doing. Star Trek, just had nothing good about it at all. Fookin' Shit! Disclaimer. WIND UP

Yeah I saw that.
I'm very happy about this - but...
1. First big raid in Wrath was recycled from vanilla.
2. Another raid is being recycled.
I have a slight concern that we could start seeing a lot of recycled content and that is a bad thing as I find I get bored with content quicker than ever before. It's not been an issue becuase there is so much to do and new content comes around so fast.
Still
"Blackwing Lair will be the first raid instance of the new expansion, only X% of the playerbase got to experience BWL the first time around so we are relaunching it with 5, 10 and 25 player modes"...
Anyway, I'm probably over speculating - no harm bringing back what is a cool encounter.

I think you are over speculating a tad. Onyxia was the iconic raid from the original game, hell, from the beta, and for the 5 year anniversary, i can see them indulging in a little nostalgia.
Saying that, i have always wished they'd do "heroic" versions of old instances/raids, as there's some i'd have no issue revisitng in a "challenging format" from time to time...
