If i have to choose i prefer ff off,but i'm not really bothered either way.The only way it will affect me is the odd tk when i meet someone coming out a doorway or when im shooting across the map and cant tell if its friend or foe.It does get annoying when ppl walk infront of you when you are fireing though. Is there a way to have ff on but but take away any punishment for the tk'er?.Lets face it none of us will do it on purpose. This whole thread may be a waste of time anyway,i cant see the server lasting anther month unless ppl start putting their hands in their pockets. If you cant afford to pay thats fine,we all have bills to pay etc,but we need to know one way or another so it not the same ppl paying all the time. It would be helpfull to know so we dont start another month and it ends up 2-4 ppl paying for it again. I'm happy to put cash up, but similar to Majere, the last few times I've logged in no one was around. If people want to continue and set aside scheduled time thats cool!

Right well this is nearly over in my opinion, even though we have yet to get a vote from Iain, Mike or andre. I think that we maybe should keep it off for now, as the guys that don't want it on would have their gameplay hurt more than having it turned on than for the guys that want it the other way round.
Honest Opinions?

Oh yeah Rob, as Lorcan said in another post get XFire mate that will sort out that problem. I am always up for CoD4 if I am on the PC or near it, as it is pretty much the only game I play at the moment and whenever I fancy a game I just quickly xfire everyone online and hey presto our server has people on it. I do need to address the issue about it not appearing the list though that Fru keeps on bringing up

YEah Rik, that's a mad issue. As would be nice to have some more people on it.

I'll look at x-fire. Frustrating to have another piece of software running though as currently have Steam & Skype. Add to that TS and Xfire and were really talking bandwith here, even on a 6mb line.

XFire is the only essential chat program for gamers imo and it is constantly being improved all the time it now has its own voip and also it takes in game screen shots and also is currently in beta testing of in game film. Messages also pop up for you in game unlike MSN and the file transfer system is very quick.

Did we mention it can be completely hacked by editing your xfire_config.ini to make it look like you've played "My little pony goes to hell III: Revnege of the saddlestrap" for 127 hours!!! ;D

I've only played a few times the last couple of weeks,as i'm starting to get bored with maps now,(plus i never seem to play the ones i like, always the crap ones )its still a great game but once rainbow six comes out that will take up alot of my gaming time. I'm looking forward to playing a more tactical fps where teamwork is a bit more important, rather than the "run and gun" style of play in cod 4.

I was in a bad mood last night, can you tell? ;D (i was still right though, btw). Obviously i'm up for paying for the server, i'll send more money asap. Also, we just need to get back into the habit of scheduling nights to all be on there, cause they are fun. I have my interview tomorrow, so right now i don't give a toss about FF on or off, and tomorrow i'm getting smashed wether i pass or fail. But by friday i will care again, and i will always say FF off. But if it's such a big issue, whatever man, just change it and we'll put it back after everyone whines

The new Rainbow Six looks like it has a lot of great tactical game modes and playability.. Cod4 is great... But it would have been better if I could have got a few custom maps working - I don't wanna try again and potentially fuck up the server again Only 29 days to go for Rainbow six: Vegas 2
