Did I hear they were lowered in a patch?

Really from 18 on you can start getting into tier 3. That said, I think you miss out quite a bit not taking the opportunity to dominate in tier 2 as the higher levels.
I would recommend that you
- Get small groups together and clean up in tier 2. - join guild raid groups for tier 2 / 3 public quest runs - join guild tier 3 raid runs for keeps and open RvR.
Should get a good variety of fun in there, and you will also gear very well as you progress.

Thanks for int tips. Definately will be doing high level T2 scenarios ... It's just has to be done. The drop rate for gear seems to have flown through the roof recently, so you will definately get some good stuff. That PQ we did in the tower last night was fun, had an instanced kind of feel to it, without it being an instance. The end boss also hit like a sodding truck. I think if we carry on doing those kinds of runs for the next few days, we will be able to go on a major rampage in the T3 zones. I was reading that the Radiant Knights sytematically took all of the T3 keeps on Saturday at one point they had three full warbands on the go, what with pick ups from other guilds.

"full warbands on the go" in one area, on my screen = system slow down Im the same, however since last patch my system can handle things a *lot* better than before. Bit improvments all around.

I think we had about 20 White Dawn guys there at one point, was very nice.

We managed to focus him onto 2 tanks the first time he went down and I spam healed both continuously to keep them up. Worked out pretty nicely in the end, think we only had 1 - 2 deaths (BW killing themselves).
My only issue is that I got naff all on the loot side of things.

Before the last patch my healing was always getting me items from PQ's, since the last patch I don't get anything from PQ's chest Oh well, I'm sure it will change ten more times before they decide which is correct. Gonna do some tinkering around with the guild rankings when I get home, like you said last night Rob, so we can try and have representation on at most times. Oh and Zoltan has started messing about with our banner so maybe try a scenario with him waving it around. oooeeerrrr!

It was great fun yesterday. It felt great to see so many in the guild in the Warband. I think alot of ppl have been waiting for this. Hopefully it was not a unique event.

I think the benefit of organising this sort of event is clear. The difficulty from my experience after a number of years of raiding online is that getting people online at the same time can be a problem.
This is not so much an issue with WAR as a smaller group can run through content until more people arrive. What I would recommend is that we organise regular evening events focusing on PQ runs until we get sufficient people to run RvR with. This should be done around 3 nights a week so that other nights are free to play skirmishes which give the best XP.
With this approach we will all get good blue gear from influence in addition to PQ blue and green drops and the occasional epic item.
We will also get good renown from the RvR takes, good gear from this also and most importantly, good Guild exposure as we become a known player on the server. This will open more opportunities for large scale pvp offensive (ie - multi warfront) and will also increase our recruitment efforts.
Whilst I'm on that topic
Recruitment -
Can we ensure that we are looking for good players, or bad players that are good fun and sound. Can we avoid at all costs growing just because we can. At the end of the day were older gamers with similar thoughts on the game. I don't want the guild age to dramatically drop overnight and find that I dislike selective 'cliques' within the guild. In my experience this often leads to splits within the guild and groups of people leaving at once which never looks good.
If you are unsure about someone you want to invite inform them that this is an older guild and that they will have to join on a trial basis.
probably getting into enough detail here that this should go into a new post but for the time being - yes, let's grow as and develop as a guild - but lets avoid doing it at the cost of the integrity of the guild.
