COD5 Squads. So, after finding out about creating squads yesterday, I read this article today and there are quite a few things you can do with squads in COD5. (http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/924/924915p2.html) Squads allow members to spawn close to each other, and stick with each other between games (guess it puts you on the same team and doesn't auto-balance to split squads up). Also, the squad leader can issue commands to each squad member. Looks interesting.. They've definately done more than I originally thought.. The more I read, the less and less it looks like a mod!

But now a good game has that feature

BF2 ROCKED, still my fave. BF2142, not so much. Dunno why, just didn't like it anywhere near as much. I still remember that night on EGC server when we held the point below the bridge for the entire round. We took the bridge out which forced the enemy to come past us to get the other points. My god it was one of the best skirmishes ever. All six of us from SDK at the time were numbered 1 to 6 in the leader boards. We had choppers attacking us, we had tanks, we had snipers on the hill, we had people parachuting down on us en mass, but we held firm. My absolute best memory of any online FPS I have every played. Lorcan, Myself, Lee, Mike, Stu and Terry I think was the team. EPIC

EPIC speaking about the BF series, i dont recall playing BF2 all that much (can i hijack thread plox?) and while it was still good i also feel the same way about BF1942, we played that so much back in the fornightly lan sessions. wake island, 2 warships and a selection of vehicles. it used to scare the shit out of me driving around in a jeep only to have someone kamakazi a plane in my face. Id like to think COD:WW can reignite those days of old however Current job / girlfriend whos semi-needy (in a good 'lets do loads of stuff together' kinda way) and lack of hardware suitable for UBER gfx makes it a NULL chance proposition in the near future

"lets do loads of stuff together" kinda way SIMPLE... Play COD:WW togethor! SHARE interests Or play the age old classic "Barnetts plays computer games whilst you play SHUT THE FUCK UP AND SIT IN THE CORNER BITCH!"

Rik, I still feel BF2 was the most fun I had in a FPS (with the possible exception of CoD4 as it was really good fun. That time we held the bridge was awesome fun, to be honest most of the times playing that game were great such as my first ever experience of it: Lorcan (on TS): Oh swet, I think I'm in! Game: [SDK}Majere has just been teamkilledby [SDK]SovietStu (insert image of jeep here) LOL'd. I still think we need a FPS game to compliment WAR/WoW as they are great nights of just random "OMFG" out of Andre! I'll wait and see what the general consensus is on CoD5 before I buy, as to be honest, I got BF2142 and played about 10 hours max

I'm not playing the beta anymore, cause i don't wanna unlock anymore gear Will be buying it (possibly the limited edition pack if i can find it. Gives the FG42 and double xp for a week on launch). It's a fun game, i do feel COD4 is probably still better, as i prefer modern weapons/tactics. HOWEVER, when i discovered the squads system in COD5 the other night, well, si will tell you that i screamed I had always said the greatest FPS would be COD4, with a BF squad system, with BF Sized maps...

I had always said the greatest FPS would be COD4, with a BF squad system, with BF Sized maps... Yes I would agree with those sentiments entirely, the unlocks in CoD4 completely blew BF out of the water, but BF worked as a team game so well. A merger of both games would be a wet dream maker ;D

Mixing current-gen weapons with experimental weapons/ bio-logical warfare perks, etc
