But seriously. I have not seen anywhere near as much or felt as much advertisement in tv/press/magazines/gaming community as with TBC.
Is this just because I am not interested now? Serious, not baiting you Stu! ;D

Serious, not baiting you Stu! ;D you're right Rik. Either Blizzard have just discovered the wonders of advertising or they're lying about there subscribers numbers and desperately need more. Either way because they don't release any data on figures and only make "announcements" when they reach certain milestones, they cant be trusted ... I am baiting

Or you can just suck my cock si?
If you bothered to read the article, you'd have seen this section;
"World of Warcraft's Subscriber Definition
World of Warcraft subscribers include individuals who have paid a subscription fee or have an active prepaid card to play World of Warcraft, as well as those who have purchased the game and are within their free month of access. Internet Game Room players who have accessed the game over the last thirty days are also counted as subscribers. The above definition excludes all players under free promotional subscriptions, expired or cancelled subscriptions, and expired prepaid cards. Subscribers in licensees’ territories are defined along the same rules."
Asshat ;D

I'll try and find the link... But seriously 11.5m subscribers does NOT equal 11.5 million players.. Taking away people with multiple accounts (1 in 10 have 2 accounts.. Some have 36!!). Then minus all the "farmers" and "power levelers" & the accounts that are still being paid for but not actively played, and I'm guessing about 10-11m - Which is still a very successful amount. www.ripten.com/2008/10/10/wow-whore-has-36-accounts-raids-by-himself/
