I forgot about MW2.. That should be good.. And I need more info on Ghostbusters ON PC before I can get excited about that (What's Coop like? Is there a "versus" mode? etc) - Also, it pisses me off how PS3 gets it next month and PC has to wait until October/ November. Mass Effect 2 = Yawn Starcraft 2 = yawn Natural Selection 2 = Whut? Battlefield 1943 - Maybe.. Depends on time of release/ price for PC/ etc

Battlefield 1943 - Maybe.. Depends on time of release/ price for PC/ etc Natural Selection was the best mod for HL1 i ever played, im talking back in 2002. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_Selection_(video_game)It was brilliant, you had the human "marines" versus the alien spawn. 1 player at a time could sit in the command chair, and basically played like an RTS, you issued orders, built building and constructed weapons/equipment for the team. The weapons kinda definded your "class". As the Spawn, it was similar but there were no weapons, the spawn mother-thing could "evolve" players into different spawn. It's was a great FPS/RTS hybrid. They started work on a source version ages ago, but then went retail in their own engine. www.naturalselection2.com/Theres also a trailer for "NS1" (natural selection 1) on that NS2 website.

One person commands via RTS and the rest play FPS! I think you've mentioned this before after I said i'd love a game like that.
Sounds good.

Sounds good. 7 years ago! was a fun mod BTW - If you'd like a game like that, why didn't you like BF2? The commander played in an RTS style, top down view, issued orders and tactics to squad leaders, could approve/deny arty strikes, resupply, UAV's, etc etc.

Next you'll be saying Sony will rip off both of them with a "Home" enabled avatar system that allows custom objects and actions like Second life? oh wait... Dear oh dear. All freaking search engines look more or less same... They're only so many ways a good search interface can be designed. Microsoft have innovated (Stu will like that) by allowing videos to be played directly from the search engine results page... FOX news has already picked up on this and has accused it of being dangerous as it allows people to play PORN without navigating to the porn site. I don't see the point of Bing though... it's just Windows Live Search with a new skins :s

its a good 'computational' knowledge engine. not really a search engine but yes, i imagine i did what most of wolframalpha's initial visitors did and say 'wow this is cool' but havn't returned to it since lol.

If by "google innovate all the time", you mean they buy up smaller companies and put their tech into Google products.. I agree...
But Google wasn't the first to use Auto suggestion.. I remember ASk.co.uk using that ages ago.. I'm unsure if they were the first.
I know that ask were the first to include thumbnail images of websites next to search results.
With all that said though.. There's only one thing I care about with search engines: how good their spider and search algorithm is..
...And Google's is the best.
