If it's not what you are into then realistically you aren't missing out on anything.
It is going to be an exceptional game though - and even if I wasn't into RTS, I'd get it for the experience. By way of example - I'm not into RPG's that much anymore, but I got Dragon Age because of how polished an experience it is meant to be. I'm fairly enjoying it, not setting my world alight - but it's not bad.
Anyway - don't play if you're not interested, but don't deprive yourself something that you may find amazing just to prove a point or because you aren't sold on the genre.

You tried "The Witcher" Fal.
I wasn't an RPG person until I played that game.. and even with it's few bugs and glitches, it's still an awesome game!

Yeah I tried it - I know it's gotten improved since release but when I got it, it was fairly unplayable tbh.

Barnett likes RTS and he likes Big budget cinematic experiences.
He'd love Starcraft 2.
And rob, you said "24 hours!" at like 10am, I said "14" cause at midnight tonight, i'll be playing the game...
You "fucking idiot"...

You "fucking idiot"... I know You will be playing at midnight because you are going to a midnight launch. The rest of us (or at least most), will be getting this tomorrow and playing after work - ie: 24 hours (minimum). You're response was facetious and got slapped as a result.

How is everyone finding StarCraft2? I'm surprised at the lack of fanboy opinions of it so far!

But i'm too busy playing SC2 to delve into any meaningful "review". I can post "it's awesome", but that doesn't really cover the "how?" and "why?", now does it.... ....cause I don't have time to post the "how?" and "why?" yet... ....cause i'm too busy playing the game.... ....cause it's awesome...

Haha. I'm just surprised at the lack of feedback on here, that's all. I've played it myself and I hardly find it awesome -- The single player section is much better than the multiplayer i've played so far but the missions aren't that exciting. I like the fact that so far I'm controlling a small number of troops (ala DoW2 & CoH), over huge unweidly armies.. But i'd prefer it if they were more squad based rather than a huge army of individual troops. I see the missions are trying to do some very different than the standard skirmishes of old skool RTS games (Red Alert 2, DoW), but they aren't as interesting as they sound. I spent 20 mins simply harvesting crystals on one map! A few units attacked me, but nothing to heavy.. And having to move my mining operations around because of lava flow was a chore, not exciting -- Maybe I need to whack the difficulty on max to bring more of a challenge? .. Maybe they'll get more exciting going on.. Protecting miners trying to flee from an infested colony was better.. I'll keep with it.. I'm not too far into the story atm, but the man-fest macho lines and cheesy acting are very sterotypical - I can't tell if Blizzard are serious, or making a joke :s - But it's making me want to see what happens? Will peoples personalities change based on the missions I do? I.E. Will Findley be pissed if I don't go after enough of his artifacts? Who knows. I doubt it -- His opening cinemtaic was a bit cool though. The cinematics are the most impressive part of the game, and the graphics during cutscenes and dialog sequences are some of the best i've seen -- makes me wish this had been an RPG, rather than an RTS The level of nooby stuff in the game is stupid - Tutorials that last 20 seconds teaching you how to move the camera and a video detailng every single unit in the game allows even Starcraft virgins like me to play (although the tutorials were shit and stupid). I find it weird how Blizzard *SEEM* (Because I haven't played anough yet) to have catered a single player game for casual players, whilst keeping the MP side of things for the hardcore -- I got stomped in public games in beta because every other player moves at the speed of light!
