Purchased these 2 last night for £7.99 each on steam. Breach is a team-based military FPS, with some 3rd person elements (cover system) and some Rainbow 6 style gadgets. breachgame.com/store.steampowered.com/app/72300/And Magicka is a cool little isometric game where you play a sorcerer, and the main draw is the 4 player co-op, do some co-op dungeoning It has a really unique spell casting system, and you can combine each others spells to make uber spells, with sometimes hilarious outcomes when 1 person fucks it up and blows everyone up www.magickagame.com/store.steampowered.com/app/42910/Again, both only £7.99....

Breach looked okay, but there was something I couldn't put my finger on that made me not like it. Magika I'm not really interested in -- I've played a similar game with Iain & Terry before -- It was a bit of a click-fest, but not engaging for me. Also, the spiritual successor to Dungeon keeper was leaked yesterday -- naturally I tried it.. and although I didn't give it much of a chance (2nd proper level, with the WORST voice acting in ANY game ever doing my head in) it was GOD-DAMN FUCKING AWEFUL! Also.. Aliens

I don't believe you've played Magicka before......because it was released yesterday. What, did you travel into the future or something? Breach plays a LOT like Rainbow Six vegas, mainly due to the cover system. There's an awesome "Escort the Convoy" gamemode, kinda like the escort the minecart in TF2, but obviously a bit more realistic Main problem at the minute? Hardly any dedicated servers up yet, so most games are player hosted which lag to hell. Couple of days when dedis get setup, it'll be fine...

You mis-read what I wrote Stuart -- I said I played a SIMILAR game.. 4 player co-op isometric rpg-lige hack and slash with magic -- Forget the name. The reviews I've read of "Breach" haven't convinced me tbh. Here's one: 5/10: www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-01-26-breach-reviewAnd it's kinda says what I thought of the trailer. Just badly made. Regarding Magicka, there's a high chance that I'll purchase it tonight from what I've read -- Remind me later, and if there's others playing I'll join in.

As i said, Breach isn't really playable for a couple of days until all the dedicated servers come up. But it has potential. I would suggest people to hold fire for a few days and i'll update. For £7.99, Magicka is just a no-brainer. It's quite fun, and the spell system (now that i've played it) is pretty cool. There's literally thousands of combinations. If we can get Iain and Terry to pick it up to, we can 4 player it

Iain and terry are gonna pick it up. I'm really enjoying the single player. It's just one big piss take, like this guy called Gram who's workshop I passed.... Notice the warhammer too? xD I didn't look at the challenges before, but there's also a couple of survival style modes, where you are in an arena and have to fight monsters from all over the world, getting progressively harder. And have you used Meteor-shower yet si? Holy fuck! It's so awesome i actually killed myself the first time i used it! ;D

I haven't played single player - apparently that has less bugs. The coop bugs involve players freezing, being kicked, not able to connect, blue screen, game crashes etc. The game is not finished. One guy I know say that co-op (when it works) pisses all over single player -- Because there's VERY limited strategy when on your own.. However when you have 3 or 4 of you, you can heal each other, use each other to compliment and increase power of spells, etc -- Also, friendly fire kinda makes it funny in an OMFG YOU BASTARD kind of way. Also, I dislike the controls I bet I can't change them though.. I keep trying to you WASD to move. Dare I say it -- This is designed for consoles... No doubt the spells are mapped to an analoge control stick, whilst the other stick directly controls movement -- *IF* this is teh console control method, I'd much prefer it over the Mouse/ Keyboard!! Shock, I know!

Shock, I know! Lol, you can't level that at any game you don't like the controls to. It's not a console game, si, cause it's only available on PC....and using it with a gamepad is super-fail. Go read the official forums. It's meant for mouse/keyboard. You can change the keys, i originally mapped them all to around the arrow keys, since i'm not a WSAD player. But it wasn't helping, i forced myself to use QWER ASDF and it's better for it... The controls take some getting used to, cause you move with the mouse, and select elements with the QWER ASDF keys.

Breach related; Some dedicated servers are starting to pop up, but they're always full.
I managed to get into one just now, and it was pretty good actually. Firefights whilst in cover are pretty intense, especially against snipers.
Just need more dedicated servers please!

Don't be a noob stuart.
This game was created in XNA purely to be multi-format.
It's available on Xbox live arcade!
3 patches in 3 days = fail.

Anyways, it sucks on a gamepad. It feels like you're trying too hard to pick faults with something again...

You only think i'm trying to hard to pick faults with something if you disagree with it.. So, man up and stop being an idiot. I don't need to try hard to think of the countless ways this game can be improved. Also this statement: " Anyways, it sucks on a gamepad" is stupid.. Makes you sound like you've tried this game on a gamepad.. It feels like you're trying too hard to pick faults with something again...
