I'm picking this up for my PC. Competetive, team based, class based FPS. Developers have gone to great leangths to make it skill based and balanced. I watched a video about it, but can't find a link for the life of me. Theres a shitload of videos here, however; www.gametrailers.com/game/brink/11373

It's the "parkour" aspects and the graphical style that appeals to me.
The "parkour" elemts allows you to easily slide under objects, jump over objects, or I'm sure I saw in a video, run along a wall for a short distance - Making it far less "samey" than most FPS'
The graphical style has that cyberpunk aspect, mixed with a bit of cell shading - Customisation seems good, but I hate the heads of every single model I've seen -- They've changed a lot since the early videos I saw.
Most my gaming time will be spent on the RPG of the year from next week, But I could use a nice multiplayer FPS to fill some gaps.

Star wars can suck my nuts as I'm predicting more generic MMO style gameplay - No difficult moral choices or meaningful decisions in that game And Mass Effect 3 will be an even more streamlined and casual games (based on the dev's latest interview, stating he wants to "reach more people") - Not that I mind that.. But that's been pushed back to 2012 now anyway Also, I'm thinking of cancelling my Brink pre-order, as some reviewrs are absolutely slating it

You're SO wrong about KOTOR. Go read some previews and watch some vids, then delete the comment...

You're SO wrong about KOTOR. Go read some previews and watch some vids, then delete the comment... I read previews about Brink saying how the parkour aspects will allow you to traverse the landscape in ways previously unseen in first person shooter... The REVIEWS are now saying that these elements are few and faw between. TL;DR: Previews mean shit - Wait for the games release/ reviews Seriously though - Every MMO promises the world, and lets me honest, most of them since WoW have failed (for me at least) because they just try to copy Blizzard's success. I know you said KOTOR will give me choices and stuff but until I see it with my own eyes, I just don't believe it'll be very deep -- Their's only so much choice you can give one player on a server of thousands of people! I'm also wary of games that use existing, 'popular', third party IP's - it's as if they need that crutch to stand on - To get people to take notice of them... Star Wars pod racer was the exception

Star Wars pod racer was the exception But it's set in the old republic, 4000 years before the movies, which Bioware has proven twice already allows them an immense amount of creative freedom. Now, the choices system, you're thinking about it in a "wow" sense. Don't. The game plays more like a single player RPG, the dialogue (all spoken, voice acted. ALL OF IT.) system is straight out of DA2/ME2 with a cool system when you're in a group mission or in an instance - you all choose what dialogue choice you want to make personally, which will have an impact of the outcome of that conversation and mission, and the game randomly chooses one of the chosen options to proceed with. "Multiplayer conversations". However, if you chose a lightside option, and the darkside option won outright, you retain the light side "points" and don't incur the darkside points. That screenshots funny.
PC players don't need tutorials in how to play as a team. Here's a short "how-to" video for our console players...
Si, I have "acquired" brink now, to try before I buy. Wanna play against some bots over tunngle tonight?

So first impressions of the full game, it's pretty cool.
It's taken me a while to figure out wtf to do, but now that I understand the objectives wheel, everything makes sense....

For the record, Si, I also believe Skyrim will pwn the shit out of the witcher 2... Relevant; All in game graphics. From the studio that made your beloved Fallout 3, amongst other things. I played Elder Scrolls 3 - wasn't a fan, but it's held in high regard. I played Elder Scrolls 4, wasn't too keen on the setting, but again - held in very high regard. This. This mother-fucker is gonna keep me interested. Skyrim, the land of the north in the Elderscrolls game world. Nordic shit, I love Nordic shit. Snow. Dragons. Epic landscapes. I'm not trolling or trying to wind you up, but the simple matter is that this will be awesome.Oh, and the music? EPIC!
