Now I've got your attention.. I was bored at work this morning, so started creating my own 2.d isometric game engine.. In which I hope to implement a 100% browser based, multiplayer version of the classic board game, Hero quest. Check it: dl.dropbox.com/u/3901723/HeroQuest/index.htmHint: Middle mouse button to scroll map. Any suggestions at this point are very welcome.

I've only tested it in Chrome so far.
The movement code I stole from an earlier project of mine. The creation of a grid I learnt from a tutorial The hovering/ selecting of squares is my own formula.
Now I'm just trying to implement walls, and get a level editor created

PROTIP: Scale graphic tiles to fit (and snap?) with grid square borders. Makes for easier placement and you cant select / it's hard to select those half tiles. example (look at mouse pointer and then look at where green selection is):

The big tile was just a test -- Big tiles (If I use them) will fit exactly to the grid. I've now added basic walls, and it reads a map config file to generate the terrain - Graphically it looks shit (I'm not an artist).. I'll sort that out later dl.dropbox.com/u/3901723/HeroQuest/index.htm
