Right guys we are exactly one week away from the renewal of the server for CoD4 and it has been a pretty quiet month on the CoD4 front for pretty much everyone I feel. I have hardly ben on at in the last few weeks the same with Lee and Mike and Si. The rest that are still doing a bit more are WoWing and the new Dawn of War expansion. So the question is shall will stop our server from next Tuesday and put it to bed until a new game comes out that we would want our own server for. Of course doing this means we will have to pay for TS but its not very expensive, about £7 a month or something. This is only going to be on until sunday night then I'll have to contact the admins if we do or don't want it. Make your voices heard and get everyone to vote please. That include you Andre, you will have to rejoin the forums after your little strop the other week

I still want it. Love the game, we just need to arrange evenings to all come online to play, like we had done before.
And not always "hey, who wants a game tonight?" as that can be too short notice for some, but sometime perhaps arrange them several days in advance.
Still cool when we get 6-8 of us on, then randoms appear, and we fiddle the teams so its all of us vs them...

We can arrange nights, but the difference between joining a quiet server or our own is negligable.
Feel free to correct me, still finding my feet in the game but seems like there are plenty of ok servers!
On the TS front.. Xfire + Skype should really do the trick, but again teamspeak is still quite handy to get things going when people are in different games!

For people who lives in the real world, it's not always possible to organise gaming days in advance.
But if a day was set where most people could usually make time to play, then that could work.
...End of the day though, you play what you feel like playing at the time.

For people who lives in the real world, it's not always possible to organise gaming days in advance. That doesn't make sense. Planning to play CoD4 (or do whatever) with everyone in advance is exactly what people who "live" (not "lives", i'm gonna grammar nazi you now, biatch) need to do, cause that way its planned into their week - something which i personally will have to do.

No.. I just mean that sometimes things come up that take presidence over a COD4 gaming night for example, or I just can't be bothered to play it (on a night that everyone wants to play it) ... But I say throw away the server.. Is it really worth paying for something we use so infrequently??... And as you say Rik, many people are playing other stuff now... The WOW people are playing wow more.. I'm playing Soulstorm, etc... And as Stu says, R6:Vegas 2 is gonna kick COD4's butt all the way to the moon, so i'll be playing that more than COD4! ;D

Ok Fal... Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 The single player will clear up events that happened in Vegas1 - But i'm guessing you never played that and so don't really care... So.. To Multiplayer. All team based tactical shooter game.. range of SWAT weaponary, and cover system almost identical to Gears of War.. Realistic weapon models, sounds, firing rates etc... No COD4 perks, bunny hoping, jumping of any kind, going prone - As SWAt teams, and Rainbow6 teams do none of this in real life. Multiple game modes includig: killing the team leader, planting explosives, standard deathmatch and more more. PLUS.. Co-op Terrorist hunt - This is the one we played the most in the first game... Go around a location in a team of four and blast the shit out of any other person you come into contact with Super-fun!!!

Spend your money on mass effect, fal, you'll get more gaming hours out of it (and higher quality ones at that). I just finished it, and holy awesome cutscenes, batman! i've never had my hairs stand on end so much for a game conclusion! I'm just about to revisit the save before it all kicked off, and make a few decisions the other way to see what outcome they have on the ending. Then it's time to go through it again, this time being a bastard and see the harsher ending ;D As for Rainbow 6, if their diabolical launch for vegas 1 is anything to go by, the multiplayer for R6V 2 will be buggy to hell and lack any real support, with infrequent and inadequate patches...defo a torrent "try b4 you buy" job...

That's called life? Things pop up...? What i mean is, if rik makes a post tomorrow saying "hey! let's get us all on CoD4 tonight!", i might be working late, or doing summat with the girlfriend, and the same goes for others potentially. But if it was around "hey! what nights good for us all this week?" or "hey! who wants to play on night X?" we usually get 70%+ of us on, with some who cant make it and some who've had summat pop up or whatever. Get it? Or do i have to explain it again?

Personally I've been on quite a few nights and looking forward to some online blasting, but noone ever seems to be on the server. I don't mind paying for it, but don't like paying for something I don't ever seem to be able to use!

I have a bit of a family crisis that is currently on the go at the moment , but if I am back early enough from the days events I would like to play TF2 again, (as long as I dont crash all the time) Yes its a great game Still need more people to vote, only have 8 at the moment so we are missing some guys, nudge them and we shall get the firm verdict. Even if it is a bin it, we can still jump on other peoples servers for a game in the future. Continue

soulstorm? Lol, waste of money for a glorified map pack. New sides are 'meh'. Would rather play sins of a solar empire...

LOL. Glorified Map pack.. I forget the game now - But once upon a time you praised an exapansion that came out - and it only contacined new maps - I slated that notion however. Alas though Stuart.. because u are a newb - You're obviously missing the entire single player meta game that you're not interested in .. As for the two new sides being "meh".. Personally I think they are the best races since the original came out!!! Sisters with their mad fire frenzy weapons and the dark Eldar with their fucking stupid "beam of death" And I gotta agree with terry, the few games we played the other day were the best games i'd ever played - Some really good new maps in the game that are well balanced.. and with a 2v2v2 game, you never really know what's going on behind the scenes!
