ok... lets keep the spam on this thread to a minimum. id like to post all relevant vista / network / install / crack issues here so that we can resolve problems easily. 1st up is a lan patch for RED ALERT 2.It converts ipx to udp which should work over hamachi / internet. and i quote "This patch allows you to play TS and RA2 over LAN on Windows 2000 and above. The patch makes use of the UDP protocol instead of IPX which no longer requires you to have IPX installed.
Supported Operating Systems by this release of the multiplayer patch: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008"
".:: Installation ::.
Extract the files in your Tiberian Sun or/and Red Alert 2 directory."ive uploaded the file to rapidshare - rapidshare.com/files/123103433/ts_ra2_lanpatch_1_00.zip

The official LogMeIn hamachi wiki states that IPX patches DO work over Hamachi, but do NOT work on all Windows Vista PCs. Also, I'd prefer someone trying this before I install it and fuck up my network stack Do u have an official page I can look at? Does it really convert IPX packets to UDP, or does it simply wrap an IPX packet inside a UDP packet for sending it across the internets?

oooo... So it doesn't transport IPX over a TCP connection.. It patches into the games, catches any IPX packets and re-writes them as TCP packets That's pretty clever if it works.
