Mike, I have checked out the train times and prices and if you don't mind having me on the Saturday evening as well as game day evening my return ticket to Euston will only cost £39.00. If I come down just on the sunday the return ticket goes up to £62.50, dunno why! Let me know if you are ok with this, (Extra XBOX Madden)

So, let me get this straight:
1) You're going to the Wembley game. 2) You're staying the night in Mike's. 3) XBox will be played. 4) Beers will be present.
Where do I sign up?!

I do know that Mike had access to an extra ticket a few weeks ago that he was looking for someone to buy. If you are serious about it you could ask him.
Last year was a great day out, apart from getting home after the game, but other than that it was an excellent experience. Plus this years teams should put on a better offensive show.

An interesting propostion. However, ther is the sheer economic magnitude of such a trip, so a few questions, if you could be so kind in answering, need to be asked!
1) Dates, is it this weekend (therefore Ryanair will bend me over and fist me till I scream "I love low fair airlines"... 2) Cost of ticket...usual experience of these things is to milk the punters, as we have no choice (only 1 game!!) 3) Erm, no girlfriends will be there....I still fear for my life...Rik's wife is welcome!
Thanks

[offtopic] LOL "Logistics"...sounds like someone has a bad back! hahahaha [/offtopic]
Okay, have done a little digging for prices, but unfortunately the Bank Holiday weekend here in RoI is making a royal pain in the ass over flight costs (and unfortunately, Ryanair ARE the cheapest, Aer Lingus were €40 more expensive and BMI might as well not bother competing, anyone who pays their prices is an idiot!!). but I digress:
1) Looking at two options, flying out Friday or Saturday (don't worry Mike, I wouldn't inflict myself on you ALL weekend), the cost seems about the same when I return home Monday. Estimate cost: €150 2) Ticket cost €100 3) travel Costs (train tickets, Oyster Card etc) €50 4) Food/Beer (depending on session on a Friday night with college buddies...) €150
So, for what would be a simple weekends fun, it will cost in the region of €500 (that's £400 for you draconians). Is it worth that much to see some men wearing pads and jockstraps run for 10 seconds before they need the oxygen masks? Hmmmm

Do not forget the cheerleaders mate. There will be cheerleaders Mike and myself didnt actually spend that much at the game if memory serves me. So that shouldn't be an issue.

Yes, but I wasn't with you the last time. Unfortunately you'll have my youthful exuberance driving us on into the night afterwards! think of it as your last big one before Mini- Rik arrives (assuming the baby hasn't by then!!)

Damn,
Contacted my mate who I hoped to stay with (and get quite drunk with) for the first few nights...and he's totally up for it. What's WORSE is that he also has NFL tickets, so my excuses are getting less and less. I will most likely give you a call later Mike.
Rik, dust off your college drinking days liver, book Sunday night off work and plan on a big hangover.
