When are we going to play this again? Stuart.. This is my game of the moment... I play it EVERY night.. Even if it only for 10 mins to cause grief as infected! I do have all evening free though so if anyone fancies a game, let me know!

This is a screen capture of the first part of a "Shaun of the dead" caimpaign. Chapter 1: Shauns house! My only reservation is that the film mostly takes place in the day (until they get to the pub)... Not sure that'll work for the Left4dead game

Well I tried to get online last night. I installed my new headphones... they failed on a scale previously unknown to myself. Not only do they sound fucked with a hissy white noise whenever I play a sound, they now hold my laptop to ransom with a blue screen of death every time I login. So i'm left with no choice, I shall meet its demands and format. Its been a good run to be honest, over a year in fact. :s

Speaking of formatting... Intel have released their new Quad core "Core i7" chip So, I think after January it's time for a new computer! 2.66Ghz i7 chip with hyperthreading (8 processors!!!!) + m/b 3 x DDr3 memory modules (either 3gb or 6gb) With Windows Vista 64bit

That's what I said. I called it "quad core", I mentioned "hyper threading" Which means Windows sees it as 8 cpus under Task manager - It doesn't know the difference, and that's good anough for me 8 PROCESSORS FTW!!!!!

I want to play GTA IV PC - Which will use 4 Cores, along with Crysis, Supreme commander and moany others.
Plus it's an "investment" in a lose sense of the word... My current system has lasted 2.7ish years, I want my next one to last that little bit longer, and with more games utilising multi-core chips.. I'd say that winthin a year a LOT of games will utilise multi-core as standard.
..Esp. when the next unreal engine is unleashed.
Plus, with the core i7 chip supporting DDR3 memory, loading things into memory/ etc will be much much fater.
Even for games/ apps that don't use multi-core technology, the new Chip has an integrated triple-channel memory controller for HUGE memory bandwidth - Loading anything into memory will be lightning fast!
It's your dream chip barnett... They've managed to overclock it by 1Ghz!!

Bandwidth is stupid!
"...with up to 32GB/sec bandwidth between the CPU and its DDR3 memory, and up to 25.6GB/sec of bandwidth between the CPU and the rest of the system."
We need a "tech" section on this forum

I'm hoping I have no PC issues for the forseeable future. The economy is only half way to being as fucked as it will end up being here in sunny Ireland so I'm counting my pennies and thanking my lucky stars im getting married to a civil servant...
