In the UK, there will be *3* special editions of this game!!!
The first one has just been announced:
"For fans of stealth then the Sniper Wargear Set will be the perfect choice. This set includes a unique set of armour as well as a shotgun and sniper rifle to equip Cyrus's scout squad with. This pack also includes the Angels of Redemption chapter and four exclusive army painter colours. The Sniper Wargear Set is available exclusively from HMV."
Four exclusive colours? In DOW we got to choose ANY RGB colour we could make from a grid (aprrox 16,000)! I hope they don't just give us 16 base colours in DOW2!!!

Not to be negative, but it wouldn't surprise me if they did, it wouldgohand in hand with the whole 'Dumbing Down' for the console market. Not knocking console persay, but they really shouldn't be trying to simplify DOW2 for the masses.

I doubt it's that at all. When you look at the paints available for the tabletop game, it's more likely they are doing it like WAR you get set colours based on the actual ones available it may turn out to be a much more advanced customization tool than you think. It also says an actual chapter is available as well.
You guys are to negative give it a chance.

Only way I would get special edition over normal edition is if there was something in the box that made up the difference in value.
Say.. cash in the exact amount.
Special edition crap pisses me off in games.

Meh.
They do good cinematics and the game looks nice, only concern is whether it will really feel so new that it doesn't get boring fast.
Kind looking forward to Empire at War too.

I didn't get a box, but the beta was in my games list. I'm sure it'll be a nice distraction until SC2 comes along

True... a distraction until SC2 comes along, then a flat out better game when SC2 finally gets released

I played SC2 6 months ago, i played DoW2 this morning. From the opinion of someone who's played both - you're wrong
