You can't fully put into perspective just how much an epic geek that guy has to be to havethat may achievemant points, if you've not used the system.
My lvl80 DK is about to hit 1000 points, you get on average 10 achievement points per achievement. For a little comparison, i consider André an achievement whore, and i don't think he ever got past about 4000 achievement points, thus far. And he goes out of his way to do them.

I'm starting my 10 day Free Trial of WoW this Friday - the following week I should have a couple of days off over Easter so can likely get Crematoria to level 80 in that space of time.
If something really takes my attention with it I will probably start playing again closer to the summer. Thats *if*...
I highly suspect I will have lost interest by the end of the trial period but who knows!

Yeah, I did the trial period, but unfortunately queues on BL were 700+ when I tried to log on, so it was quickly let die a slow death.
Oh to be a student again....

You won't do 70 to 80 in a couple of days rob. However, i recommend you start in Howling Fjord cause it pisses all over Borean Tundra...

Within the 10 days stu you have to be aware of the following:
1. Saturday: Free and bird working all day 2. Sunday: Free and bird working all day 3. Monday: Work (2 hours evening) 4. Tuesday: Work (2 hours evening) 5. Wednesday: Work (2 hours evening) 6. Thursday: Work 1/2 day - (8 Hours afternoon / evening) 7. Friday: Free and bird working all day 8. Saturday: Free - bird not working but should get a few hours 9. Sunday: Free - bird not working btu should get a few hours 10. Monday Free and bird working all day 11. Tuesday - up until I run out of time.
If I'm playing continuously, I would be fairly surprised if I don't get to 80 with Crematoria. That and I'm going to power xp the first level killing level 68 Demons in Nagrand.
If the 70 - 80 stretch is the same as 60 - 70 then I think I can do it. Will also have a levelling guide to assist me. What I'm most interested in are the Dungeons is this is where re-playability comes into play (pve) and end game PvP. If I get to try these (ie: hit level 80) and they are good - I'll get Jan in on things and consider playing again eventually.
What do you rekon - 70 - 80 in 10 days? Gonna clear my UI folder also, will have mods downloaded and ready to go to avoid delays!

Seen it - and yeah, the game is fucking epic. That said - it gets a little boring without multiplayer - and it is hard to see an end point. That said I have an army of 120 with around 70 Hard ass Knights. The videos there - nothing compared to how it looks when you have 300+. Seriously, I should fraps or something one of the larger battles I've had. I took on 650 with my 100 previoulsy - 6 follow on waves of 50 continuously coming through. Was unreal, took around 45 minutes and I lost a lot of guys, but if you keep reformnig cavalry and flank charge with numbers you can take out heaps of footed punters.

I don't know anything about the expansion at all, cos give the guys that have played it credit, they haven't rammed it down the throats of those that don't. There is no way you are getting lvl 80. Seriously though Rob, if you are doing this to try and like the game again, is powering your way to 80 the best way of going about business rather than savouring the game (just a thought) Spending your first few levels mob grinding doesn't sound like you will get the most out of the game to me. Why dont you treat it like it is vanilla WoW when it first got released and play the new zones properly, if you are only 72 or 73 after 10 days and you still like it you can continue. You don't need to be level 80 to decide if you wish to play or not.

There is truth in here, However - I'm not that sort of person, I'm always rushing to end game and even if I re-subbed it would be the same. What I really want to know is if at level 80, there is enough non raid content that I want to play. I will be playing through with the misses at a much slower rate which I can use to enjoy. I also have Falgorn at 70 which I can also use and enjoy should the need arise. For now however I just want to see end game. I'm not sure how we can bet on this, but I think it is doable. That said - I may not get as much time as planned for one reason or another I can't guarantee all the time I'm hoping to put into this.

dont power it, rob. the content is very enjoyable and highly refined. there is an interesting and entertaining story to unfold as you quest through northrend. and unlike tbc, the lich king pops up in your face quite often in quests, as early as 70...

Right right - fair enough, I'll savour as much as possible.
I'm gonig to play it a hell of a lot while I have the 10 days. If there is enough there I'll consider getting the game. But I only have 1 expense for April and I'd rather by 10 Chaos Marauder Horsement, mod them into Black Knights and spend a heap of time painting them.

I did!
Anway - eventually got in and am modded up etc etc.
So far it seems fun enough, nothing has really jumped out at me but over all the graphics are improved and some of the Warlock changes are quite nice.
I feel very rusty playing but have gotten upto scratch pve wise quick enough. A same level Death Knight camped me earlier and they seem pretty imba, nothing I could do had much of any effect on him so obviously I need a lot of practice to figure things out.
I could see myself playing for 3 months maybe, not decided yet. Half way through level 70, not done dungeons yet either.
