yeah.. Kinda obvious when Valve themselves stated that ALL previous maps would work in L4D2. Hell, you could even play HL2 maps in L4D and Portal. It's no big deal playing levels using the same game engine :s

I played the Dark Carnival finale, it's pretty good. The best bit is the music of the fictitious band. It's heavy rock, but it's based around the L4D themes, so you'll recognise the little L4D bits of music mixed in Start of the event, the 3 random noobs (and they were noobs, in the worst sense of the word) camped at the top of a tower with sniper rifles. I shit you not, within 10 seconds of starting the event, a spitter spawned, spat on the top of the tower and fucking incapped the lot of them... ...johnny on the spot here had to run and get them up before we failed in record time -_-

No, the tower kinda has 2 levels, i was on the lower level cause it seemed gay having 4 people camp up top in a very small space - and look what happened!
Played through Swamp Fever until the finale (which we couldn't do on "normal", fucking randoms). Quite like it, it's kinda creepy and very open. Even the wooden shacks are pretty destructible. Oh, and you walk slowly in the water. Which there's a lot of.
It has "classic" events, whereby you basically camp and ride it out, rather than these new-fangled "gauntlet" events.

Just did a Swamp Fever Versus. Defo my favourite of the first 3 (haven't played the other 2 in any capacity yet) in versus. There's just lots of opportunities to utilise the new SI abilities. On the first map, there's an event whereby the survivors have to call a ferry on a dock and wait for it to arrive. They're on the dock, so i charge in as a charger, send one flying into the water for an insta-death. Meanwhile the one i grabbed came down to the inky black depths with me, also insta-dying Seen some brilliant "spitter spits into room, room of noobs get pwned" and jockey's taking people off ledges. The jockey is hard though, he really needs a distraction (see: boomer) before he gets close, unless said survivor is on their own.

www.midnight-riders.com/There's rumours abound that there's potential L4D2 DLC involving the band members. Graffiti on the walls before the gig finale says "R.I.P Midnight Riders!" to be replied with summat along the lines of "They aren't dead, they were evacuated in a chopper" I think this would be cool

Who wants some REALLY AWESOME NEWS?! Ok, since you asked so nicely... uk.pc.gamespy.com/pc/left-4-dead-2/1052694p1.html"An interesting turn of events could see ambitious Left 4 Dead 2 modders be able to include their own custom-made character models if a post over on L4Dmods.com is to be believed. According to the blurb, Valve will be enabling custom character models in its upcoming SDK for the highly popular online shooter. By the looks off it, custom models are now supported and very much a reality now! And that includes survivors, special infected, common infected and weapons. Not only that, it seems the weapon functionality can also be edited. So what does this all mean?
Well it means mappers can have custom survivors, special/common infected and entirely new weapons unique to just their campaigns (i.e map side modifications, NOT server side)! The L4D modding scene just got a little more interesting boys and girls. Keep your eyes peeled and just think of all the custom content to come in the near future."

Meh. Would have been better if they allowed server side editing - Then a modder could come along a perhaps make a Flame Thrower, available in all maps... But it's limited on a per map basis. Also, this is a rumor, not fact. But it definitely didn't deserve the preface "Really awesome news"

Also, i feel it's time to move on from your previous nickname of "Greebo Si". I'm thinking a take on the fact you are incredibly negative "Captain Negative" it is *Updates iPhone contacts*

Good times

Good to see someone with some brains on here Barnett. And you won't get Total conversion mods with this system - It's just an extensive map editor. See here: tiny.cc/Q3CodeYou'll see i'm credited for creating the Quake3 Win compilation tools! When you understand how creating mods/ maps for games work Stuart i'll listen to you, until then my interest rate in this matter is lower than the bank of Englands!

I make no illusions about any skill at modding/editing.
I can't make shit.
But i bet i've played more mods than you've had hot dinners. Was playing mods before "Captain Negative" even had a PC!
I'm not gonna dismiss the ability of some dedicated modders though, just cause i bathe everyday in cynicism and darkness...
