LOL
It's already been confirmed that Battlefield 3 will allow for a maximum of 64 players in a single match for the PC, and 24 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but according to DICE Battlefield 3 can handle way more than that. 256 players, in-fact.
DICE's CEO, Patrick Soderlund, has told Atomic MPC that, yes, Battlefield 3 can technically handle 256 players --which is the same amount as MAG: Massive Action Game --but after testing said amount of players in a single match, the game was no longer fun.
"A lot of people ask us about 64 versus 128 or 256 players. Technically, we can go to 256, we’ve tried it," Soderlund began. "We play tested with 128. You’ve got to make a game that’s fun to play. And, arguably, we think that the most fun you can have is when it’s between 32 and 40 players. And we’ve done substantial research into this and tested 128 and that it’s not fun."
"Maybe we haven't done our design work good enough, but we just feel like there's no point in going higher than 64."
Battlefield 3 launches sometime this Fall.

This kinda still support my point - Basically they've made a 64 players map and they'll block sections of it off with objects to contain 24 people on consoles... It still remains to be seen if the maps are designed for 64 people or 24.. Maybe they've designed 64 player maps, but within that is a very obvious "24 player area" that will be used on consoles - Only time twill tell.

Some things I hate about that clip. Thay say it's a .50 A .50 would've torn those pipes clean off and left bigass holes in the concrete. It would've also torn through their bodies behind the concrete. The AT4 has never been and will never be a rocketpropelled grenade. It's an Armourpiercing shapecharge projectile. Motherfuckers, if they ruin this game I'm gonna go postal at their office... those cunts.

Still not a rocket, the urban AT4-2 just has it's backblast significantly decreased to allow to be used within confined spaces.

uk.pc.gamespy.com/pc/battlefield-3/1171707p1.htmlJesus Christ, that suppression system sounds utterly fantastic, especially with the new deployable bi-pod's the LMG's have. On suppression; "That's a very cool new feature DICE has incorporated into Battlefield 3: suppression. Unload on an enemy's position, and they will become suppressed, limiting their peripheral vision with a blurring effect. An icon will also appear above the suppressed enemy, allowing your team to see which enemies are pinned down -- the perfect indicator of foes that are ripe for flanking. And with the Support class' bipod-enabled LMG, which can be mounted on cover, they become a suppressing machine, racking up XP in an all-new way. Just be aware that while you're laying down cover, you have an indicator above your head, making you a target for the enemy."I can't fucking wait! Modern Warfare 3, which i'm sure will be some fun, is just looking like nothing new. BF3 is kicking the living shit out of CoD and everyone at E3 is saying it. I watched an interview with some MW3 developer, and he's throwing sound bites like "engine improvements", "innovation" and "pushing the bar" around, but then you watch the videos and it's the same stuff you've been doing since MW1, but in different settings. As Duke said when I fucked up playing a pinball machine in Duke Nukem Forver; "BALLS OF FAIL!" ;D

That sounds awesome, another thing BF3 is introducing which Gamespot quoted as "a bold two-finger salute to Call of Duty". Basically this whole pre and post game element called Battle-log which give you stats tracking, social features and possibly media sharing capabilities.
"Bach did confirm that you'll be able to access the service "when you're sitting on a bus," and in a bold two-finger salute to Call of Duty's recently announced (and paid-for) Elite service, it will have a "monthly fee of zero.""
